Newton Solney in Bloom

This year we have been put forward for Britain in Bloom, and we shall continue to enter the East Midlands in Bloom competition.  Judging for Britain in Bloom is August and East Midlands in Bloom early July, so a challenge to keep the village looking great for longer.

 We are going to have a public vote in May, at the plant sale, to determine which best front garden will be put forward.  We will also change the route to include streets we didn’t have time to include last year.

The theme will be Brewing, to capture our villages’ history, so any beer barrels, or other brewing paraphernalia you have that could be planted up or incorporated into a planted area, go for it.   If anyone needs any help, please let us know or pop a note in the village hall letterbox, or pop along to the Bloom meetings (all welcome).
